Analog Feel Guitar Record

Sound too thin, sound too metalic and stiff. Perhaps this is common problem at digital recording age. Want to bring fullstage tube amplifier to recording studio ? uff. . . it's not easier..it's big jod...then, what the solution ?

Easiest such as those which I do mix modelling preamp with analog tube preamp . In this case routing as follows:

Guitar - modelling preamp - tube preamp

I make modelling preamp as principal gate guitar signal processor . The aim so that signal that enter direct digitally. this matter prevent too cable interconnection quantity that can degrade audio quality. This profit, because digital processor I thinks more cleanliness and stable.

After get base character, signal direct preamp tube. In this case, tube preamp give guitar character coloration sound like rounder and warm.

In this voice coloration process, i do character with turn knob gain. After character sound got , step furthermore look for headroom turn knob level output.

Last step, see meter level at software. Pick guitar as hard as may be at various octave, look for position level highest around -6db with turn tube preamp level.

Furthermore, Let's go great work recording. . .

Tips, always do comparison between gain at preamp modelling with tube preamp. Look for appropriate soul. if you want seen very analog, dynamic and soft, get more gain at pre amp tube. so also on the contrary
